Add an item

Add an item with its image and statement. It publishes to the site immediately. Optionally generate a printable QR code that links straight to the item's page.

If the school does not exist yet, it will be created automatically.
Optional — leave blank for an unnamed piece. For privacy, a first name plus last initial is recommended for minors.
Adds a button on the item's page. Must start with http:// or https://.
A large photo or scan is fine; the tool resizes it and makes a square thumbnail.
The text is read automatically into the box below. Older .doc files may need manual pasting.
This is what gets published. Press Enter for a new paragraph; use the buttons for bold, italic, and lists.
QR codes link to this item's page — handy for print or in person. Turn off for online-only showcases.

Bulk import — many items at once

Download a template, fill in one row per item, drop the images into the images/ folder, then upload the zip (or pick the folder). Re-uploading a corrected file updates the same items in place — it won't create duplicates.

Select the kit folder — the spreadsheet and images are read directly from it.

A transparent PNG or SVG looks best. Stored as-is (not resized).

One click sets the wording, vocabulary, colours, and fonts for a type of event — then customise below. (Your title, logo text, and footer are kept.)

Edit the wording and vocabulary below; the preview updates as you type. Nothing changes on the live site until you choose Save changes.

Frame adjustment

Move slides the image within its frame area. It only has room when the image is smaller than its area — a portrait/narrow image, a zoomed-out one (matte), or (vertically) a short image beside taller text. A wide image that fills its area won't slide sideways.
Like the mat board in a picture frame · shared across views
Frame & image sliders adjust the device you're previewing (switch Mobile / Tablet / Desktop above the preview) — each view is saved separately. Zoom past 1× crops to fill (Move repositions the crop); zoom under 1× shrinks the image so the matte fills the frame around it.

Renewal & billing

Keep your showcase online by renewing before it expires. Payment is handled securely by Wise — we never see or store your card. After your payment clears, your showcase is extended automatically and a receipt is filed here.

$39 covers 30 days; each extra day is $1 (up to 120 days). GST/HST is added based on your province below.

Your billing details

These appear on your receipt and set your tax rate. We keep them only to issue receipts — required by law for record-keeping.

Pay & renew

Send the exact total shown above, and paste the reference below into Wise so we can match your payment to your showcase automatically.

Change password

Updates the single login used for this admin tool and the publish API.

Analytics

Connect a privacy-friendly analytics engine. The snippet is added to your public pages only — never to this tool.

Backup & restore

Download a ZIP of everything — content plus all images. Restoring from a backup replaces your current site.

Automatic off-site backup

Connect your own cloud storage and we’ll back up your entire showcase to it automatically — every night, plus on demand. Each backup is encrypted with a password only you hold, and lives in your account. You keep it even if you leave: we never store a copy of your data.

Use a bucket dedicated to this showcase. Create a storage key with read/write access to it, then paste the details below.

You’ll be sent to Google to sign in and approve. We only ever get access to the backup files we create — not the rest of your Drive. Choose a backup password below first, then connect.

Your provider’s S3 endpoint. AWS S3: leave as https://s3.amazonaws.com. Cloudflare R2 / Wasabi / MinIO: use the endpoint from your dashboard.

⚠ This password encrypts your backup. Write it down and keep it safe — if you lose it, your backups cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.
Restore it yourself (no platform needed)

Your backup is a standard restic repository on your own storage — you can restore it on any computer, with or without us:

  1. Install restic and set the variables below (fill in your own storage key and the backup password you chose).
  2. Run restic snapshots to list backups, then restore the latest.

Export a copy

Static site (.zip) is a self-contained copy of your public site — every page pre-loaded, no server needed; good for archiving or hosting anywhere. PDF opens a printable catalogue of your exhibition (choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog). Both exclude the admin tool and analytics. By default they also leave out password-protected groups.

⚠ The exported files have no password screen — anyone who opens this copy can see the protected groups. Only do this if you will keep the exported file private.

Contact form & inquiries

Turn the home-page contact form on or off — and edit its heading, intro, and button — in the Look editor under “Contact form (home page)”. Here you choose where new messages go and review what’s come in. Every submission is saved here, even if email delivery isn’t set up.

⚠ Verify the address first. For privacy, email can only be delivered to a confirmed address. After you save a new one, a one-time verification link is sent to it — open that email and click confirm. Until you do, messages are still saved here and downloadable below, so nothing is ever lost.

Privacy & data requests

Password protection

When on, visitors must enter one of the logins below to see this group — its pictures and names are hidden from everyone else, even people who know the web address. A username is optional: leave it blank to make a shared access code that anyone can use. Existing passwords show blank — leave them blank to keep them, or type a new one to change it.

Username (optional)Password

The CSV file should have one row per person: either username, password on each line, or just a password on each line. A header row is optional.
